*****I just figured I'd update last year's gotcha day! See below.....
It's been one year (two now) since Kit (aka, "Kitty" "Ms Kitty", "Sweet Sweet Kitty Girl", "Santa's Little Helper" or more officially "JJ Rocky Road") came to live with us on 1/1/10!
Kit has been a great companion in our home and has had a very busy first year....
First off....this is what she used to do at Dairyland (Win races that is
and then at the adoption center....she was a big goof ball:
But...when Ms. Kitty got home...she was a nervous Nelly for the first few days. Mom was expecting and the couch was more comfortable, so it worked out good, and mom slept on the couch because Kitty Girl got lonely at night:
We took lots of trips to the dog park and other places....Ms. Kitty likes car rides:
We went lots of places, like a Greyhound Play Date with Bob & Ellen, the dog park, and it was a very nervous day when we went to our first Meet & Greet in Kenosha with Dawn, Pru and Blaine. After all those busy places, she found out home was the place to be, and that it was acceptable to crash out on the couch:
Then, Mom & Dad brought the new baby home....and Kit was very pleased that she had some new pillows and things to lay on:
We celebrated her fourth birthday a few days after the baby came home:
After a few months, she settled in and started to enjoy all the comforts of home, including lounging, and relaxing in the back yard:
But....we could tell that the back yard and the couch were lonely places sometimes....so in July, Kit was joined by Tyra and now the couch and the back yard are complete! And, Kit and Tyra are first cousins!
Kit is a very sweet girl, inside that is
She doesn't get into anything she shouldn't and Tyra taught her how to use the stairs. She can be a wee bit naughty outside when she wants to play, but we are working on that!
And...in honor of her gotcha day....she had a lot of visitors....an Australian Cattle Dog, a Sheltie, a Pit Bull, a cute little mixed guy, and a spaniel....
Happy Gotcha Day to my Sweet Sweet Kitty Girl!
