Do you and your hound live near Riverwest?

The UW-Milwaukee Pre-veterinary Medicine Organization is sponsoring an Adoption Fair and doggie wash, and they will be raising money for GPA! The community can bring their pets, get a nail trim and/or a dog wash to raise funds. They will also be holding a raffle, and GPA will be providing a basket.

Many of our new applications to adopt greyhounds come from the Riverwest area of Milwaukee, so this is a perfect opportunity to reach out to many potential adopters.

We are looking for volunteers to fill two shifts:

12:00 noon to 2pm
If you choose the opening shift, you will need to get there a bit early to set up. I will get you supplies and the raffle basket ahead of time.

2pm to 4pm
I can pick up the supplies at your convenience after the event.

You are welcome to stay for the entire event.

If it rains, the Adoption Fair will be the next day (Sunday, May 28).

Take a look at the new flyer from the Riverwest UWM Pre-Vet Adoption Fair:



We are still looking for a few good humans and hounds to represent GPA-WI at the UWM Pre-Vet Pet Adoption Fair on Saturday May 27, from noon to 4pm.

The Pre-Vet group will be hosting a doggie wash, so you can tell everyone how greyhounds are naturally clean, non-stinky, and non-greasy. How cool is that?

Hounds are welcome at this free community event. GPA volunteers are needed to show off greyhounds and pass out information to potential adopters. So this would be a typical Saturday for many of us!

I can bring Archie, one of the infamous GPA Puppies (of course he's one year old now, but always a puppy to me) for whatever shift you need filled. But since it will probably be just me and him I may need assistance with set-up/take down.
